Citing your sources

Heads up bloggers! As you are posting the biographies of your poets, please remember that you need to be including the sources that you are using to gather your information. You can do this at the bottom of your post, or as a comment. Also make note of the fact that you were given direction to use only valid academic sources for this assignment. I have included the instructions below. Please go back and make adjustments as necessary. Thanks!

Poetic Analysis Rubric

Here is the rubric for your poetic analysis. Remember, it is due Thursday, April 28.

Your primary research tool...

is the Galileo Literary Reference Center. Click the link and then click "Literary Research Center" under "Choose Databases to Search."

If you can't find any info there, ask Mr. Castle, Mrs. Weaver, or Dr. Boza for help (or just post your question in the comments below). There are a bunch of articles, biographies, reviews, and analyses for most of your authors there.

British Poet Biography Rubric

Once you have selected your British poet, you will use Galileo (Use the Literary Resource Center) to research his life and works. In a 500-700 word biography, you will address:
  • The poet's contemporary context
  • The time period's historical background
  • Themes that run through the poets work
You will need to cite at least three academic sources from your research.
